Random updates!

We are just about 2 weeks into 2014 already and so far this year is full of twists and turns.

*My mom started her chemo again early last week. I hate to say they found another tumor but at least they caught it and she is getting treatment.
* My new transcription job is definitely keeping me busy. It's taking up a lot more time then I thought it would and so far it's not as lucrative as I thought either, so in the next few weeks I'll be deciding whether I'm going to continue with it.
* I was moved to a new kitchen just after Christmas and I'm slowly adjusting to it. It still feels kinda surreal and like I'm just visiting and will return to my old kitchen and coworkers, but that won't be happening :(
* The new season if the bachelor has started and you better believe I'm watching it!!!
* Hubs and I just celebrated 3.5 years of being married. It's hard to believe that we are on the downward slope to 5 years and almost to the halfway point of 10 years!
* Hubs and I are looking at purchasing a new home! We are still working out our qualifications and the financial aspects but things look promising! (Fingers crossed)
* Honey boo-boo and myrtle manor start up again this Thursday!
* Hubs and I started back to the gym! I've been going for a week now and hubs for almost 2 weeks. Hubs had the opportunity to get gym memberships through his work for 1/3 of the normal yearlong membership so who could turn that offer down.
* I'm thinking of starting a Wednesday weigh in just to keep myself accountable and keep a record of my progress.

RIP James Avery

I was saddened to learn that James Avery, known to most as Uncle Phil on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, passed away earlier this week.

You will be greatly missed... and provided many hours of entertainment and laughs in the homes of most of us growing up.
